The great fan favorite Rey Mysterio returns to the wrestling ring on Sunday for his biggest match since the death of his friend and countryman Hijo del Perro Aguayo. Aguayo died in the ring in March, suffering a broken neck that may have been administered by Mysterio.
Mysterio, who shares a name with one of Spiderman’s arch enemies, is a dynamic 5’6″ performer known for his masks, his energy, and his pure entertainment chops. The 40-year-old, presumably making his last comeback, will headline AAA Triplemania pay-per-view on Sunday. Mysterio and Myzteziz will stage a much anticipated battle royale. Mysterio told Rust Radio it is a “legacy defining match… [with] a lot of animosity and egos that are going to come into play.”
