The Leatherman Tread is a chain-link bracelet that is embedded with 25 handy tools. Screwdrivers, wrenches, a bottle opener, you name it. The idea came about when Leatherman president Ben Rivera had his multi-tool confiscated at Disneyland. Tools with big blades and folding pliers aren’t allowed into the theme park.
So Rivera came up with the sneaky looking Leatherman Tread, which looks like a cool, metal watch band. Good news for those who like to fix stuff (and break glass) while traveling — the Tread follows all TSA guidelines. It’s being sold for $150 – $200. If you want to add a watch to the bracelet, that’ll cost $500 but you’ll have to wait until the fall.
