Johnny Shelton is the 25-year-old singer-songwriter who played his emotional, original song “That’s Love” on America’s Got Talent. He wrote the song for his 5-year-old son who he lost to cancer. Shelton will perform a different song on AGT on July 28. He hopes to be one of the seven contestants who make it to the finals.
Due to the public response to “That’s Love” — the video clip garnered more than one million views — Johnny started making That’s Love t-shirts. A line from the song “Death can’t kill what never dies” is printed on the shirt (see below). All proceeds go to Peach’s Neet Feet, a nonprofit that creates custom sneakers for children fighting cancer. Each shirt is sold for $15. America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
