In December 6, 2011, sports radio talk show host Colin Cowherd tweeted that he had signed a new 4-year deal with ESPN. ESPN airs “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” every weekday from 10am to 1pm ET. On Thursday, July 16, 2015, it was announced that Cowherd will be leaving ESPN after 14 years with the network.
That same day it was announced that Cowherd won’t stay with EPSN, Cowherd commented on air about complaints he heard following Caitlyn Jenner receiving the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at ESPN’s ESPY Awards (which was broadcast on ABC, where Jenner’s new show ‘I Am Cait’ will soon premiere). Cowherd said he is tired of hearing from “the right” about being “force fed LGBT on TV.” Rumor has it Cowherd is in talking with Fox Sports which is a subsidiary of Fox Broadcasting Company, which is notoriously conservative.
