Ranked No. 58 in the world, Mikhail Kukushkin will face home favorite and World No. 3 Andy Murray in the first round at Wimbledon. Kukushkin made it to the third round at last year’s Wimbledon before losing to Rafa Nadal in four sets, so Murray can’t overlook him. The 27-year-old Kukushkin has a 2010 victory over French Open champ Stan Wawrinka on his resume also. (Murray defeated Kukushkin in the Australian Open in 2012.)

Both Murray and Kukushkin have women as coaches — still an inexplicable rarity among elite men’s players. Murray is coached by Amélie Mauresmo. Kukushkin is coached by Anastasia Kukushkin, who is also his wife. Anastasia has coached Mikhail since 2009.
