A dangerous Russian assassin named Karakurt is on the loose on US soil on The Blacklist. While investigating the whereabouts of Karakurt via Russian Counter-Intelligence, Liz discovers information about her mother, which makes her a target.
Karakurt is portrayed by Michael Massee. He’s best known for his TV roles on 24 (Ira Gaines), Alias (Dr. Gonzalo Burris), Supernatural (Kubrick), and Rizzoli & Isles (Charles Hoyt). He was also Man in the Shadows in The Amazing Spider-Man, and Gustav Fiers (The Gentleman) in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Strange fact: Massee was involved in shooting accident on the set of The Crow which resulted in the death of Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee. In character as Funboy, and as scripted, Massee discharged a gun at Lee during a scene, unaware that the gun had been improperly prepared with a live round. “He was in no way at fault.” The Blacklist airs Thursdays at 9pm on NBC.
