Who Is Frankie’s Mom on ‘The Middle’?

Frankie Heck is a hard-working mother on The Middle who wants this Mother’s Day to be different from the rest. But Frankie’s husband Mike’s “incompetence threatens to ruin it.” While the kids – Axl, Sue and Brick try to come up with a great idea for a gift, Frankie’s mother Pat stops by for a visit.

Pat is portrayed by Marsha Mason. She’s best known for her roles in the films The Goodbye Girl with Richard Dreyfus and Heartbreak Ridge with Clint Eastwood. Mason has also been on a lot of TV shows. She played Frasier’s dad’s girlfriend Sherry on Frasier. And most recently she played Madam Secretary Elizabeth McCord’s therapist. The Middle airs Wednesdays at 8pm on ABC.
