Vicci Martinez is a singer/songwriter from Tacoma, Washington. Before competing on The Voice (Season 1, 2011), she tried out for the first season of American Idol. But Vicci declined the invite to the second round of Idol because she thought “the contract was too restrictive.” Vicci didn’t win on The Voice, she came in third, but she did get a record deal thanks to her Voice coach CeeLo Green.
Vicci is coming back to The Voice on May 5 (8pm, NBC) to perform her new song “Bad News Breaker” from her new album, I Am Vicci Martinez.
