Sway Motorsports has created the Sway, an electric tilting three wheeler. It’s a hybrid of a moped, skateboard and skiing. Riders steer the 35-inch long bike by swaying from side-to-side. It tilts with the movement of your legs. The inventor Joe Wilcox says it’s safe and reliable – anyone can use it. Weight limit is 350lbs.

It looks like fun but the Sway is one expensive toy. The Basic model goes for $4999 (20 mile range, 35 mph top speed). It uses lead acid batteries and weighs 280 lbs. The Lithium model is available for $7999 – that has a 40 mile range with a top speed of 60 mph. Wilcox says he’s working on a LithiumPlus model which would go 70mph with a 60 mile range. That will cost $10,999.
