It wouldn’t be so upsetting if Jeremy Lin weren’t a big-time gamer himself. But the Harvard grad who knows a bit about numbers thinks his new rating on the popular video game NBA 2K15 is pretty far off. Lin dropped 3 points from his rating heading into this sometimes inexplicable season in LA, going from 78 to 75. Obviously that’s not the kind of 3-pointer JLin7 likes to drop. (Or the kind of 3-pointers he may start dropping next year in Denver? Or Golden State?)
Lin’s perplexed face says it all in the video below — when he finds out he gets an F for interior defense. But when he rates a B-minus for IQ, Lin simply has to look away. “IQ B-minus, I done seen it all,” he says. Safe to say Jeremy Lin hasn’t received a lot of Cs, Ds and Fs before. As he says, “My mom would not be happy.”
