President Barack Obama will participate in a conversation about poverty this morning at the Catholic-Evangelical Leadership Summit on Overcoming Poverty at Georgetown University. Unlike most sit-downs with the president, this one is a discussion including two other people who will participate on equal footing with the president. It’ll be moderated by E. J. Dionne of the Washington Post.
The other two are Robert D. Putnam and Arthur C. Brooks. Putnam is a professor of Public Policy at Harvard and a past recipient of the National Humanities Medal. He has written 14 books, among them Making Democracy Work. Brooks is president of the American Enterprise Institute, a Washington think tank. He has written ten books, including Social Entrepreneurship: A Modern Approach to Social Value Creation.
You can watch it live here at 11am EST.
