Legendary soap opera actress Donna Mills (Knots Landing, General Hospital) has been busy since you last saw her. You could say she’s making a comeback. In a recent Lifetime TV movie, Deadly Revenge, she plays an awesomely wicked widow. And Mills is starring in the new realty TV show Queens of Drama with Jackie Collins. It premieres April 26 at 10pm on PopTV. Mills is also working on a movie. She’s shooting the new David O. Russell movie Joy, with Oscar-winners Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, and Robert De Niro. Her role in Joy is a secret. Oh, and get ready to see her at the Daytime Emmys – Mills has been nominated for the first time for her guest performances as matron Madeline Reeves on General Hospital.
Mills recently told TVInsider: “It’s all so scary—the reality show, the book, the movie, the soap, and don’t get me started on the whole social-media thing! [Laughs] But, listen, to be doing so many things that scare me at this point in my career is a really great thing!” She’s 74.
