Tiger Woods is going to play a lot of golf this summer, according to his recent tweet. We expect to see Woods at the U.S. Open each year–just the way he hates to miss the Masters. After all, major championships are how Woods measures his career.
As non-majors go, Woods hates to miss The Memorial of course, where he gets to play the home track of Jack Nicklaus–the guy whose major record he’s chasing. Besides, Woods tends to win The Memorial. Woods unexpectedly (was it?) strong showing at Augusta has filled him with a buoyancy–at least on social media–we haven’t seen from the legend in a long while. Whether it will last past a Thursday-Friday when he can’t find the fairway remains to be seen. But everybody in golf who wants to keep their paychecks has high hopes Tiger is in great form. Woods will tee it up at the Greenbrier Classic at the end of June 29 to July 5, where you can also catch Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert in concert on Saturday night. Woods will he hoping he’ll have to miss the show to get ready for Sunday.
See you at the US Open, Open Champ, Memorial, Greenbrier and my Foundation’s event, the Quicken Loans National. Going to be a busy summer.
