On Once Upon a Time, the evil Cruella de Vil finally gets her chance for happiness. And she’s not messing around. “It’s her time and she’s taking it,” said actress Victoria Smurfit who portrays Cruella. “She’s off on her own agenda.” Part of Cruella’s origin story includes a flashback to 1920s England, which Smurfit thoroughly enjoyed.
For the flashback Smurfit wore a flapper dress that was worn in the Oscar winning movie, ‘The Artist.’ She recently told Access Hollywood: “To be able to get into ‘The Artist’…into that dress…it just gave Cruella a whole different demeanor. It was lovely.” Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8pm on ABC.
