Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards, who has struggled with her sobriety over the years, was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel on April 16. Security at the hotel called the police claiming Richards was causing a disturbance and wouldn’t leave. Police officers took Richards into custody. She was charged with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer.
Lt. Lincoln Hoshino of the Beverly Hills police department told ABC News: “Richards was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior. [She was] cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest. After being transported to the station for booking, Richards kicked one of the officers in the leg; however the officer was not injured.”
