Hillary Clinton posted a tweet just before the big one announcing her presidential run saying the Dem frontrunner was praying. The much anticipated “I’m running” tweet was direct and meant to inspire–Clinton wants to be a “champion” for “everyday Americans.”
But Clinton’s previous tweet also had to do with running. It was about South Carolina’s Walter Scott, who was running from police when he was gunned down in what Clinton called a “too familiar” story. Clinton wrote that she was “Praying for #WalterScott‘s family. Heartbreaking & too familiar. We can do better – rebuild trust, reform justice system, respect all lives.” Clinton has tweeted just 154 times so far on the official @HillaryClinton account. She’s used the word praying only once so far. It’ll be interesting to see how often she uses religious language during her campaign.
