In 2001, an aspiring professional wrestler named April Jeanette Mendez got to meet her idol. Later known in the ring as AJ Lee, the 14-year-old girl went to a WWE event and met Lita (Amy Dumas). When it was AJ’s turn to ask Lita to sign her video cassette (it was 2001!), she burst out in tears. She also gave Lita a letter.
Lita was sweet with AJ. She leaned over to give her a hug. Now that AJ Lee has announced her retirement from the WWE, maybe Lita is ready to reveal what AJ wrote in that letter!
