In the UFC 184 main event on February 28, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey “tore through Cat Zingano in just 14 seconds.” After the win, Rousey told UFC analyst Joe Rogan that Bethe Correia should be her next opponent in the Octogon.
Correia is the 31-year-old mixed martial artist nicknamed Pitbull. While training for her Jiu-Jitsu blue belt and Kung Fu purple belt, Correia also managed to earn a degree in accounting which must have come in handy when she signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC in October 2013. (She was an accountant before she started fighting.) Correia’s current record is 9-0-0. She’s ranked #7 in the UFC women’s bantamweight division.
