Ryan Shell moved to New York in 2010 but he considers North Carolina his home. When he printed a t-shirt with the silhouette of the state of North Carolina on it with the word ‘home’ printed on top, people started to ask him where he got it and did it come in other states. And a Home T shirt tycoon was born.

Shell has sold over $1 million worth of Home T shirts ($30 each), and he has more ideas to expand the business, so he’s going on Shark Tank (March 20, 9pm on ABC). The problem with his pitch is that the investors question his motives for coming on the show. Mark Cuban and Daymond John believe he’s there for the “free” PR. In a sneak peak of the episode, Kevin O’Leary throws the Home T shirt he was given back at Shell.
