Comedic actor Tracy Morgan couldn’t make it to the 40th anniversary show of Saturday Night Live. He’s still recovering from a fatal car accident (others were killed) that left Morgan critically injured. Morgan suffered traumatic brain injury, a broken leg and broken ribs. At the televised live celebration on the set of SNL, Morgan’s former 30 Rock co-stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin paid tribute to their friend, wishing he could be there.
Fey recently told E! News that Morgan wants to appear on her new Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. And the network FXX, which has a deal for Morgan to star in a half-hour sitcom, has said that “when Tracy has recovered and decides that he is ready to go back to work, his show will be waiting for him.”
