The Razzies–the lovable, light-hearted list of the worst movies nicely bookends the Oscars. This year the gorgeous Cameron Diaz took home the Worst Actress prize. (Well she didn’t actually take it home–maybe it’ll come in the mail?) Diaz had an advantage, though none of the other nominated actresses–Drew Barrymore, Melissa McCarthy, Charlize Theron and Gala Weiss–complained. What tipped it for Diaz? She was nominated for not one, but two stand-out performances: The Other Woman and Sex Tape.
Diaz was the only actress to compete with such an advantage. Only Kelsey Grammer, nominated for three movies (Expendables 3, Legends of Oz, Think Like a Man Too) outdid Cameron Diaz in the number of films cited in a nomination. Grammer nabbed the Razzie for Worst Supporting Actor with ease–and no doubt aplomb.
