The Andromeda galaxy is two million light years away. Never before has NASA been able to take high-resolution photos of the mass of stars and space dust — until now. The Hubble Space Telescope has captured a 61,000 light year-long section of the galaxy and it’s amazing. It’s beautiful and informative. Astronomers are now able to make out individual stars of an external spiral galaxy.
Below is a video that NASA has posted on YouTube. It is sparking a lot of debate about extraterrestial life and religion. North Code wrote: “How can humans still believe in a ”god” when looking at something like this?” Non-believers outweigh the believers commenting. Are fewer believers watching the video? Or does it even matter? As mmfrnt1 wrote: “The only thing I will say is that everyone needs to make up their own mind about faith and stop trying to convert each other one way or another.”
