ARTHUR is a favorite cartoon show on PBS Kids. Arthur is an aardvark who explores childhood challenges (including a little sister) with heart and humor. With Arthur and his friends, young viewers learn about honesty, empathy and determination. This week, the folks who make Arthur come alive have created a Downton Abbey inspired epsidoe called Fountain Abbey. It will premiere on PBS Kids on January 26.
In Fountain Abbey, Arthur’s friend Muffy discovers that her great-great grandmother, Mary Alice, wasn’t royalty after all. She was a common maid! “Muffy is transported back in time to the famous English estate where her ancestor worked. There she discovers the surprising story behind her humble roots.” Which reminds us of that other PBS show, Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates.
