Billy Joel is being honored with the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The ceremony, held at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., will be broadcast Friday, January 2 at 9pm on PBS. Joel performs Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song) and Piano Man with Kevin Spacey. Spacey leads the song on the harmonica and then sings the first verse.
Spacey and Joel are joined on stage by Tony Bennett, Boyz II Men, Michael Feinstein, Gavin DeGraw, Josh Groban, Natalie Maines, John Mellencamp and LeAnn Rimes. P.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor is in the house, too.
