Country singer Jake Owen cut his shoulder-length hair this week and most of his fans love it because they love him. (The others will come around — they have to, there’s no turning back!) You know who’s not surprised about Jake’s new look? His fraternal twin brother Jarrod, who still thinks of Jake as Josh — his brother’s real name.
When Josh changed his name to Jake, Jarrod said it was a “big hurdle to get over.” Although Jarrod now refers to his twin as Jake, Jarrod admits, “I still think of him as Josh.” The brothers went to college together at Florida State. Jarrod remembers the day Josh/Jake told him he was dropping out to move to Nashville to sing. Jarrod told him, ‘you’re an idiot.’ Jarrod admits today, “Boy, did I have to eat my words.”
