The Facebook Artificial Intelligence Research Lab (FAIR) is developing an app that will be able to tell when you’re drunk. Based on the words you type or the way your face looks in a selfie you’re about to post, a digital assistant will interfere before you hit Post. FAIR’s Yann LeCun said the technology is meant to give users more control over the information they share—and choose not to share online.
The new feature will offer a warning, “Are you sure?” Then it’ll suggest, if it thinks you’ve had a few, that you share it with just a handful of friends and not your boss or grandma.
