Daily Show comedian Jon Stewart–until yesterday second only to Barack Obama as a hero of the Left (after the elections, Stewart is thought to be first)–just sold his loft in NYC’s tony Tribeca for an incredible $17.5 million.
The price is incredible because Stewart paid just $5.8 million in 2005 for the 6,000-square-foot pad. It’s a handsome profit for Stewart. The real estate coup just proves what Stewart talks about nightly on The Daily Show–the rich are getting much, much richer.
