Greta Van Susteren of Fox News got the exclusive interview with Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, the retired Marine who spent 214 days in Mexico’s El Hongo Federal Prison. He was jailed after entering Mexico with three guns. He said he had made a “driving mistake” by arriving at the border from California with the guns in his pick-up truck. Mexican authorities have said he did not cross the border accidently.
A native of Florida, Tahmooressi reportedly moved to San Diego to get treatment for his post-traumatic stress disorder. He left the US Marines in 2012 after serving two tours in Afghanistan. His interview with Van Susteren will air on “On the Record,” date to be announced.
