Eminem made a surprise appearance at the Wall Street Journal’s Innovator of the Year Awards ceremony this week honoring his mentor Dr. Dre. Eminem spoke at the event. “Dre and Jimmy [Dre’s business partner Jimmy Iovine] are like a force of nature,” Eminem said. “As an example of how powerful they are, they had me fly here all the way from Detroit to speak publicly, and I really hate public speaking.”
Ever since Marshall Mathers’ appearance in New York, the Internet has been in a tizzy over Eminem’s physical appearance. US magazine described his face as “noticeably aged and gaunt.” Some say he had surgical work done. Some are comparing the 42-year-old to actress Renee Zellwegger, who recently stepped out looking shockingly older than years before. We suspect Eminem doesn’t care what you think of his face. He’s too busy promoting his two-disc hip hop compilation album Shady XV, out November 24. It’s a celebration of his label’s fifteenth anniversary.
