Slim Shady rapper Eminem has released a new song, Vegas, with Royce da 5’9 – together they’re known as Bad Meets Evil. Eminem is selective with his words, and evil best describes the lyrics of Vegas. Among other sexually graphic things that he says he’ll do to women, Eminem warns Australian rapper Iggy Azalea that she shouldn’t fight him off sexually by blowing “the rape whistle.” Every dirty, violent, chauvinistic idea conveyed in Vegas, as Eminem sings is “All the sh*t I should be hung for, and probably killed for saying.”
Two of Vegas’ most clever lines are sung by Royce da 5’9: “Even though I have an affinity for witty banter, Starting to feel like foulplay like Billy Laimbeer.” (Bad Boy Laimbeer played for the Detroit Pistons, Eminem’s and Royce’s hometown team.) And, at the end of his verse, he refers to Hunter S. Thompson’s book Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas: “The only fear I have is of loathing, And I won’t even kick in ‘till we get to Las Vegas.”
