The FBI apprehended Blake Benthall for allegedly running “Silk Road 2.0,” a major drug trafficking site. The site was a reboot of the “Silk Road” drug trafficking site the FBI shut down a year ago, charging Ross William Ulbricht with running it. Benthall, according to a matching Facebook profile, lists himself as a “Software Engineer at SpaceX,” the Elon Musk-founded space exploration company. In a tweet referenced by the FBI in its complaint, Benthall also mentions his Tesla–another major Elon Musk company.
Silk Road 2.0, according to the FBI complaint, was processing $8 million monthly.
