Really Don’t Care singer Demi Lovato is featured on the song Up, with former X Factor runner-up Olly Murs. The duet with Lovato is just one of many collaborations that are helping the English singer Murs to rise to fame. Sir Bob Geldof asked him to sing for the new Band Aid single and Paul Weller (The Style Council) just wrote a song especially for Murs. It’s called Let Me In, and it’s on Murs’ fourth album, Never Been Better. Not bad for an X Factor loser.
Murs admits the title track, Never Been Better, is aimed at critics who have called his previous records “offensive” and “drably formulaic”. Murs says: “Regardless of what the press might write about me, or what people tweet about me, I’m still here, doing what I love. So I must be doing something right,” he says. Lovato agrees.
