For fans of the 10 Things I Hate About You–a movie that’s now considered an iconic 90s teenage classic–a get together reuniting the original cast seems like a treat. Unfortunately, Heath Ledger died six years ago and two other actors who starred in the movie–Julia Stiles and Larisa Oleynik–weren’t at this partial reunion. Still, it’s nice to reconnect and reminisce? 10 Things was a launching pad for some pretty big movie careers. If only they were gathering to talk sequel!
Screenwriter Karen McCullah tweeted a pic of a pretty joyful-looking group, including, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Andrew Keegan, David Krumholtz, Susan May Pratt, and McCullah’s co-writer Kirsten Smith. 10 Things I Hate About You, which came out 15 years, is described by Wikipedia as “a modernization of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew.” It takes its titled from a poem written by the film’s female lead (played by Julie Stiles) to describe her “bittersweet romance” with the Health Ledger character.
