UFC bantamweight contender Bethe Correia is undefeated (9-0). Now the two-time world title challenger Miesha Tate (15-5) has singled out Correia for a stand-up striking war. “I think she [Tate] saw all the attention I was receiving,” explained Correia, according to translation. “She saw that I’m closer to a title shot, so she wants to use that attention.”
Tate, who’s a wrestling-based fighter is challenging Correia to a stand-up striking battle which Correia thinks is a big mistake. “I hope she [Tate] doesn’t run away… I love to put my hand on someone’s face, especially when someone challenges me. Tell her to find a better mouthpiece. I hope she comes here to brawl.” Miesha doesn’t have an undefeated record but she does have a bigger fanbase, at least online. Miesha’s 300,000 followers on Twitter are backing her up. Bethe’s 5,200 followers aren’t as vocal.
