Kevin Garnett and the Brooklyn Nets got beat up in Boston last night, but the hyper-competitive Garnett enjoyed it anyway. “It’s always special to come back to Beantown,” Garnett said after the 121-105 whupping. “A lot of energy in the building. It’s always great to come back here. I love Beantown. I’m always bleeding green. Y’all know what it is.”
Garnett spent six seasons as a Celtic and won his first (and only) championship wearing Celtic green. He’s in his 20th season, having come to the league directly from high school. The presence of Celtics guard–and championship teammate–Rajon Rondo made the return extra special for Garnett, who hugged Rondo when he wasn’t hitting him hard on the pick and roll defense. “It was special going against KG,” Rondo agreed.
