John Daly burst onto the golf scene in dramatic fashion in 1991, driving all night to compete as an alternate and win the PGA Championships. He won another major, too, the British Open. Until Tiger Woods came along John Daly was the golf phenom–a Paul Bunyan-esque everyman who could hit it a mile. Since then John Daly’s stature has shrunk some, but not nearly as much as this recent Instagram makes it look!
