Top Chef is in Boston so the contestants are sent to Boston’s Fenway Park where they are challenged to transform ballpark fare into a fine dining dish. On the field is a table set up for the judges. Former Red Sox pitcher and Baseball Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley is there with Top Chef hosts Tom Colicchio and Padma Lakshmi.
Before eating and judging, Eckersley talks about his memories of winning the World Series. He also talks about not winning–like the time Kirk Gibson took him deep. Lakshmi responds to Eckersley’s sad story: “You should have played for the Yankees.”
