Standup comedian Chelsea Handler quit her E! show Chelsea Lately because she doesn’t want to talk to celebrities anymore. Well, fake celebrities. Sitting down with real celebrity rock star Dave Grohl for Sirius XM, Handler dissed on the reality TV stars she “hated” talking to on her show. They’re easy targets like Tila Tequila, star of MTV’s A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. And, she said, “I had to interview the Housewives, and I hate that sh-t.”
To promote the Siriux XM interview (and her new seven-year deal with Netflix), Handler posted a photo of her exposed breast via Twitter. She has 5.5 million followers but follows just 38 including real celebrities like Rosie O’Donnell, David Spade, Sarah Silverman, Blake Shelton, Gwyneth Paltrow, Leah Remini, and Dave Grohl. Handler’s standup special Uganda Be Kidding Me Live will be available on Netflix on Friday, October 10. Her new talk show on Netflix, part of the seven-year deal, will launch in 2016. This time, Handler said: “I want to do really cool interviews and meet with regular people — take a break from the celebrity nonsense.”
