Zac Efron plays Cole, a young DJ trying to make it in Los Angeles, in the upcoming film We Are Your Friends. It’s written and directed by MTV’s Catfish co-host and cameraman, Max Joseph. The 26-year-old heartthrob Efron has been photographed playing around with Joseph on the beach (shirtless!) and in a parking lot trying to break up a fight between one of his friends and an angry bus boy. Both scenes will presumably make it into the film. The photos are like a reality TV promotion for the movie.
Efron is notorious for showing off his hardcore abs but director Joseph isn’t throwing all his sexy eggs into one basket. Emily Ratajkowski, the model made famous by Robin Thicke’s music video Blurred Lines, co-stars with Wes Bentley (The Hunger Games, American Beauty) and Jon Abrahams (Scary Movie). We Are Your Friends will be released June 2015.
