Tory Burch took to the New York Fashion Week runway on September 9 at nine in the morning and it felt like a fall morning in the city should: crisp, fresh, elegant, clean and with a little bit of back-to-school flavored excitement. (You know, when you can’t wait to see how this or that classmate changed over the summer.) Burch is also in the forefront of wearable technology–and maybe it was the continued promise of blending the fashion and tech industries in the Tory Burch future that made the early start time seem so appropriate, especially for a fashion industry that’s usually more about late nights than early risers. (The aura of the nightlife remains a fashion fact even though Yoga pants–and with it the early-rising ohm and style of yogis–now rule casual wear.)
Tory Burch for Fitbit, a line of accessories that conceals the digital tracking/fitness technology of Fitbit, was stealthily tracking the models on the runway. (They all looked pretty fit, btw, or at least not overweight.) There’s some live coverage of New York Fashion week at Yahoo! Style.
