Seattle cops might get called for a taunting penalty as tonight’s big NFL 2014-15 season gets underway. In what a smart lawyer will later surely call entrapment, police in Seattle will be trying to keep the peace by dressing up as visiting Packers fans and flaunting the green and yellow. This way, according to local news outlet KING, badly behaved fans will target the undercover cops and expose themselves as Packer haters.
It’s not just Green Bay and the opener that has the Seattle force employing this strategy. The team plans to plant cops wearing opposing team jerseys in and around the stadium for every Seattle home game. The visiting Packers hope to take a cue from the costumed coppers and lay down the law tonight in Seattle. But it’s a tall order–the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks are 15-1 at home over the past two years.
