Golf Channel’s Brandel Chamblee is unafraid to say what he thinks regarding the great Tiger Woods. Always has been. And on Sunday after Woods withdrew citing injury from the WGC Bridgestone Invitational, Chamblee said what everybody’s been thinking and almost no one else will say. Tiger Woods is playing ugly. He barely resembles the man who once dominated golf. “When I watch him he almost reminds me of an aging actor in Los Angeles who’s had so much plastic surgery that they’re unrecognizable,” Chamblee said.
Woods is having trouble hitting the fairway from the tee. He hit four of 14 fairways on Friday and six of 14 on Saturday. “The head is bobbing up and down more than I’ve ever seen it,” Chamblee continued. “You’ve seen some of the worst misses you’ve ever seen from Tiger Woods.” And that’s saying something coming from Chamblee, who last year notably–and controversially–gave Tiger an F, along with a casual accusation that Woods bent the rules.
