According to the cover she’s “at the top of her game on and off the court.” The five-time Grand Slam champion is ranked #6 in the world, she’s about to compete in the 2014 US Open (she won it in 2006), and she’s on the top of Forbes’ world’s highest paid female athletes list.
In addition to her tennis career and her endorsement deals, she has a candy company, Sugarpova, and a beauty/fashion empire that she’s working on. So when things get overwhelming for business mogul Sharapova, she knows how to bring it all back into perspective. She told Yahoo! News “…you just need to turn on CNN to get a little bit of perspective in life, really. And I’ve been in enough hotel rooms in my life to see a lot of CNN.”
