Home Depot reported that sales rose almost 6% in the second quarter, meaning Americans were busy buying home supplies and beautifying. Spring is critical in the home supply business, as customers in seasonally affected areas emerge from winter weather to tackle projects and contractors increase workloads.
Company CEO Frank Blake noted that Home Depot saw “strong performance in the core of the store and across all geographies.” Blake also made a point to thank Home Depot employees “for their hard work and dedication, especially at this time of increased demand.”
