Nicki Minaj is everywhere including Beyonce’s new Flawless remix where the rapper adds juice to an already juicy plot. Beyonce just dropped the remix out of the blue and amid growing rumors that she and Jay Z are on the skids, barely making it through their current tour. The rumors seemed to begin when closed circuit camera footage from an elevator was leaked earlier this year. In the footage, Beyonce’s sister Solange and her brother-in-law Jay Z are shown in what’s been described gently as an “altercation.” In fact they fight. Solange is clearly pissed.
The Flawless remix addresses the dust-up and takes it in stride. “Of course sometimes shit go down / when it’s a billion dollars on an elevator,” Beyonce confesses on the track. If it’s true, and given that the parties involved always have the billion dollars, their elevator rides must always be pretty interesting. By featuring Nicki Minaj, Beyonce takes another step toward toughening up her image. As one commenter says at YouTube: “Okay Bey we get it, you’re hard.” Maybe she’s just training for an upcoming battle in divorce court with a famous hip-hip billionaire?
