After appearing on Oprah’s Lifeclass in April 2014, Poison’s glam rock lead singer, Bret Michaels, is launching his first-ever Life Rocks Seminar. It’s more than a one-night stand for Michaels. On September 24 at the Hard Rock Café in Orlando, Florida, Michaels is “going to talk about a whole lot of life, everything from health, wealth, love, music, the pursuit of happiness.” And then the next night, Michaels will perform at the adjacent Hard Rock Hotel. “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” will sound even more poignant to fans who attend the seminar.
Michaels has done it all and he’s got a lot of advice to dish out. From making sex tapes with Pamela Anderson to launching his own line of pet clothing and accessories at PetSmart, Michael knows how to extend himself and survive. Diagnosed at a young age with Type 1 diabetes, as an adult he’s recovered from a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage. Heartbreak, physical ailments, excess, recovery, good hair, candor and money? It’s almost like Oprah made him up.
