Amid rumors that they’re dating, Ariana Grande just released her new duet with Big Sean, Best Mistake. The ballad will be on Grande’s new album My Everything. For Best Mistake, Grande sings: “Cause you’re the best mistake I’ve ever made,” which echoes the 1998 hit My Favorite Mistake by Sheryl Crow (which is believed to have been written about her cheating ex-boyfriend Eric Clapton). My Favorite Mistake became Crow’s fifth Top 20 single in the US.
Grande’s recent public displays of affection with Big Sean are no coincidence. Grande is in full promotion mode now. On August 24, My Everything will be released and she’ll perform the entire album live on her iheartradio stream. Best Mistake is being released ahead of time as a promotional single for those who pre-order My Everything. Then Grande is off on her first worldwide tour. Just last week, Grande fans were hoping Iggy Azalea would travel with her, now they’re adding Big Sean to the wish list.
