After implying in an off-message Ice Bucket Challenge that his former friend Floyd Mayweather can’t read, hip-hop mogul 50 Cent reached out to Mayweather saying “Call Me.” Because, you know, that’s how rappers usually settle things–by making nice.
Mayweather opted not to take up 50 Cent on his challenge–that the boxer read a whole page of a Harry Potter book aloud–replying instead with evidence of his mathematical acumen. Maywweather posted a couple of checks written out to his company for a total of $72 million and change. He doesn’t need 50 Cent’s money, he says. Surprisingly 50 Cent, who insists that Mayweather screwed him out of millions for setting up that company, replied via Instagram: “Floyd, the people around you are using you. If you mad at me call me or come see me.” Isn’t that sweet? 50 Cent still cares, even after outing his pal as an illiterate cheat.
