Megan Fox is everywhere promoting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but nowhere is she more welcome than at the San Diego Comic Con conference. Why? She told People magazine that not only does she believe that “Bigfoot’s real” but that “if I were ever to be taken out on an expedition…I would be the one to find Bigfoot.” If you want to win over the hearts and minds of the Comic Con crowd, you could hardly do better than this.
Or it could be that the Comic Con poster girl’s popularity at the conference is due to her childhood experience of being picked on–something Peter Parker and some other comic book icons would appreciate. Plus Fox says she has “always gotten along better with boys.” That suits the Comic Con ecosystem, too, since the majority of attendees at Comic Con–60%--are male. The comics juggernauts are trying hard to improve that ratio–reaching out to girl fans with new moves like Marvel’s female Thor and DC’s new Batgirl. Fox might do a lot for the gender shift all by herself, since she knows both sides of the coin. Fox, besides being gorgeous and a star and a superhero now, is also openly bisexual.
