The monthly domain auction at Sedo, the giant seller of Internet domain names, is always fun and interesting–just to see the names (predestined.com! it had to sell) and observe the virtual real estate speculation. What’s going to be the next hot digital neighborhood?
The latest auction saw Moms.com fetch $252,000, according to DomainNameWire. That’s just for the name–there’s no site there yet. (The buyers must be counting on some of the 85.4 million moms in the US to drop by in the future.) In other bids, Espresso.net sold for $9,999 and Female.tv for $7,700. The buyers were not disclosed.
